I like that it’s a tight valley in the chart, because it actually is a trap like that.
Haven’t given it enough thought yet, but I think this happens when the skill is built through collecting too much technical knowledge and/or relying blindly on shortcuts and tips, and when your inspiration is influenced by too many internal or external voices.
While you don't reach the latter easily because, heavy with the weight of everything you gained, you forget the whimsy needed in the early levels which comes from exploration, mistakes and detours- all on your own solo journey guided by merely the joy of the process.
there is an artistic area where you are too skilled to be charmingly bad but not skilled enough to be unironically good. this is what I call the untalented valley
