Benjamin Lev (23) fell in battle on October 7th while fighting Hamas terrorists, knowing he might not return alive. He fought bravely until his last breath. He was soon to get married. Remember his name.

I handed in my notice today. Finishing next Friday. I've no notion of working like a dog through another winter in construction it's simply not worth it. Signing on selling the van and reducing my costs to nothing. I've had enough of being screwed by the government.

Grand Designs is on Channel 4 tonight. Two artists apparently. I can't promise pregnancies or penury. But we all know Kevin McCloud will be in raptures at the end over the soulless box that cost millions and is made from something sustainable shipped halfway around the globe. 🙄😜🤣
An old prefab. A scrap of land. A dream home. And ten years to make it happen. New Grand Designs, tonight at 9pm on Channel 4. #GrandDesigns

Telling an eighty-year-old woman to "check the portal" for serious biopsy results is cruelty disguised as digital efficiency. My 82-year-old aunt had a lung biopsy done two weeks ago. The doctor told her they’d have the pathology report ready within five business days. Friday afternoon rolled around. No call. She dialed the clinic’s main desk, her voice shaking with anxiety. The receptionist cut her off before she could finish explaining: “Doctor doesn’t give results over the phone anymore. All lab findings are automatically released to your MyChart patient portal.” My aunt said, “Sweetheart, I don’t have a computer. I have a landline on my kitchen wall. Can the doctor just tell me if I have cancer?” The receptionist sighed into the receiver: “It’s hospital network policy. We can’t bypass the portal. You’ll have to have a family member create an account and view the file.” My aunt spent an entire seventy-two-hour weekend sitting in her recliner, gripping her reading glasses, convinced she was dying. I drove out to her house on Monday morning, set up a profile on my laptop, and pulled up the records. The result was benign. The pathology report had been uploaded four days earlier. A doctor spent three minutes clicking an upload button, and an elderly woman endured four days of sheer psychological terror because the hospital decided a phone call was too expensive. Since when did delivering medical news become a self-service task?

And the Police didn’t do their jobs… why ? If it had happened to Diane Abbot or a Labour MP, I’m confident that they would have.

On the morning of October 7, when the alarms sounded, Ohad and Sandra entered the children's bedroom. The two boys were asleep, and Mila had just woken up. When Hamas terrorists entered their home and tried to break down the door, Ohad did everything he could to protect his family. Mila was shot dead when the terrorists fired into the bedroom. Sandra's mother was seriously injured. The terrorists set the house on fire, and when the family tried to escape through the window, Ohad, Mila's father, was shot dead. After murdering Mila and Ohad, the terrorists tried to kidnap Sandra and her children Liam and Dylan, some of whom were injured, and lead them towards the cemetery gate outside the kibbutz, but thanks to a distraction, they managed to escape and hide. Mila was the youngest victim that day. May the memory of Ohad and Mila be blessed.

A really lovely evening at this pub in the City of London talking cameras with my brother. We had a drink and a laugh over a beer or two and surrounded by nice people enjoying their after work drink. Sometimes, for your mental health, it’s essential to get off the doom and gloom on here. Sure, there’s plenty to be gloomy about right now, but while the government is causing everything to crash down around us, we all need to carry on and enjoy our lives. The blitz spirit if you will. Cheers 🍻
