We now passed 50M (+20M in the last 4 days)
Almost 100TB of data has now been registered.
1B is the target, but i'll report periodically on progress.
Less than 2 weeks in, here's a recap of where we stand.
33M data receipts have been created on Trace (+8M in just the last 48 hours).
Roughly 30K DATA was spent to create these receipts (so far!)
Apps like Kled create receipts on Trace to give AI labs peace of mind on the data they are buying - a service Kled is happy to pay for as it directly leads to more contracts and revenue.
We expect to hit 1.5B receipts over the next few quarters based on projected ecosystem app usage, without accounting for any growth or new apps.
Very excited to continue improving and growing Trace into the world's default transparency/audit layer for human contributed AI training data.

Native $IP Holders: No action required.

All $IP converts to $DATA automatically at a 1:1 ratio. Your balance stays the same.
•- Do I need to swap or migrate my $IP?
No. If you hold native $IP, no action is required.

No. Your staking position, duration, and pending stakes remain unchanged.
•- What is the $DATA contract address?
$DATA is the native token of the network, so it does not have a contract address.
•- What changes?
The ticker becomes $DATA. We'll update the community on an ongoing basis as needed.

The network, technology, team, and your holdings remain the same.

It holds identity, and traceability has to persist through downstream training.
@otodotearth + @psdnai address the missing layer: verifiable consent, with licensing and receipts onchain.
Data stays private, proof goes public.
The bottleneck in AI moved from architecture to data.
Voice is the clearest proof. The new speech-to-speech models can finally hold a real conversation but they need a kind of data that barely exists in the wild.
