Nancy Pelosi, who is regularly hammered for her perceived insider trading, has made 213 total trades since 2014. Trump exceeded that number in a single day, which just happened to precede his own tariffs announcement. My latest on the mind boggling self-enrichment:

Astonishing. I've been tracking Trump admin corruption and self-dealing for the last 20 months. Here are 10 stories (!!!) from just the last three weeks. Literally. Every single one from October.
JD Vance: "I've not seen a single shred of evidence that Donald Trump participates or sanctions in that corruption ... I've not once seen evidence that Donald Trump has enriched himself"

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

🧵 The social media narrative about New College is now a bit out of control. Things to know: 1) Our school is growing, just admitted our biggest ever student intake (making us the largest school in the UK in our field), and is an important part of the UoE.
Replying to @heraldscotland
@DrJamesEglinton Is this an accurate representation?

There is a lot of misleading stuff on social media about theology at Edinburgh Uni - stemming from unhelpfully incomplete reporting in the Scottish press. Please read (and circulate) this from our Chair of Divinity, Prof Muers. 👇🏻
So much misinformation on line about Edinburgh University's Divinity school

After nearly 2.5 years, my friends Annalisa, Paulus, & I submitted our manuscript for this forthcoming edited volume with @eerdmansbooks! We’re so thankful for the 17 contributors & their excellent work! Amy-Jill Levine said the essays were “magnificent.” Look for it next year!

The most consistent theme of conservatism is being completely unable/unwilling to understand how a thing is bad until it happens to you.
Milo Yiannopoulos: "I didn't really understand the physical reality of how institutionalized the brutality is in America. The manner in which they arrest you, they put you in manacles, everybody is arrested like an MS 13 gang member. It was physically degrading. It was frightening. I don't think I've ever been frightened like that before. I was weeping like an old woman for an hour. I wouldn't wish it on anyone."

Our politicians, including and especially Trump, have programmed people to hate. This is the reflex in politics now. So much so that when a public speaker tees up a dead officer like this, because the name sounds foreign, there are people in the crowd who think they’re being cued to boo:
LOMBARDO: So I know the pastor spoke about Officer Abdelnabi-- TRUMP RALLY CROWD: *Boooooo* LOMBARDO: No. We're not booing him. He's the officer that passed away here recently

I know a lot of people have already posted about it. But it's really just... I don't know. The president is selling 6-figure access to his social media feed so Wall Street algorithms can beat you to the punch and fleece you before news even hits your phone. He's making millions on a system designed to give a massive advantage to major corporate traders who can afford a feed that gives them information first. It's the single most corrupt thing I've ever seen a politician do with their office. Literally.
