Just a reminder, the Liberal Government was found guilty by two separate courts for violating the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
They banned millions of Canadians from traveling by air and mandated workers to take an experimental product or they would lose their jobs.
Morals is something this Party severely lacks in.

Going forward, everyone needs to call this man out. He says these things because he knows not a single journalist in Canada will actually go hard after him for anything. What’s one question today, is forgotten about the next. Never to be brought up again, zero accountability.

It’s been reported that David McGuinty was pressed for details on what specific risk scenarios were assessed.
McGuinty wouldn’t say because:
“The Prime Minister indicated that that’s the kind of detail that we would not get into. So we won’t get into that,”
That’s because there is nothing to discuss, they never ran any such scenario and Carney is a liar. You can bet Carney wants this to go away as fast as the story spread.

Canada and the United States have one of the closest military relationships in the world, its built around shared North American defence. The main thing they cooperate in is the binational command NORAD, which they share standing boards, personnel exchanges, and a large number of recurring operations and exercises.
For Mark Carney to even suggest that the U.S. was going to invade is insulting & anyone with an ounce of intelligence would know it wouldn’t happen.
Currently there are over 700 Canadians stationed throughout the U.S. and almost 200 U.S. military stationed within in Canada. They are our friends, our allies and without question would protect Canada if there were ever an imminent threat.

This year Carney’s Government told Canadians that their automotive strategy continued to identify battery manufacturing from plants as a priority and described Canada as “supporting the domestic EV battery supply chain”
So far 3 major projects not including this one have failed or declared bankruptcy.
This plant already cost Canadians $1.2 billion dollars in Federal and Provincial funding. Is anyone else tired of our Government wasting endless tax dollars on their ideological eco projects?
I guess we just have to put our elbows up even higher….

Evan Solomon was asked today by CTV’s Vassy Kapelos to comment on what Carney said regarding a possible U.S. military invasion, he said “it would be irresponsible” not to prepare for the possibility of a U.S. invasion and it would be “prudent to run any scenario.”
I for one don’t believe any of this. These people can make up whatever they want at this point, the media won’t ask for any proof or evidence anyway of said scenarios.

No questions about a brand-new title invented last week, handed to the PM’s wife by his own minister, then name-checked by him at the UN while Ottawa commits tens of millions to the same file
Most of them also skipped her ongoing role as senior adviser at Ian Bremmer’s Eurasia Group — the same shop that employs Gerald Butts and formerly Evan Solomon. CBC tucked it in a bio line. Almost nobody else treated it as relevant
It’s almost as if you pay half the MSM’s salary and you get to skip nepotistic scrutiny

Canadians don’t need a payroll stub to see the problem. A prime minister should not have his spouse as the public face of a government ocean agenda he is simultaneously funding and negotiating. That is an appearance of conflict and it stinks
Most of the press have shrugged and printed “unpaid.” That is not scrutiny. That is a press release with a byline
If the role matters enough for the PM to name-check it at the UN, it matters enough to ask why it went to his wife

Carney: No, is the short answer…Look, the U.S. is trying to put economic pressure on us to gain major concessions.
Fast forward 18 months later and this guy couldn’t just say no again? Instead he had to get his already hysterical base all riled up with a cryptic statement ?

NYT’s own reporter just walked CTV through how the Carney sit-down actually went
They asked him, on the record, whether U.S. military force against Canada had even crossed his mind in the last 18 months. He did not say “invasion” — that was NYT’s word. He paused three or four seconds, then said it would have been irresponsible not to look at the “extreme tail risk.” That’s banker-speak for: very unlikely, catastrophic if it happened, so you still model it. He refused to say what Canada actually did to prepare. Globe and Mail already reported simulation exercises in January
Stevis-Gridneff said she wasn’t surprised he had thought about it — only that he said it out loud. She expects a lot of Americans waking up to the Times piece to be shocked. The paper has been trying to tell U.S. readers the Canada-U.S. relationship is now about anger, hurt, and a sense of betrayal, not just tariffs
Why say it? She said Carney answers direct questions directly, wanted people to know he takes the risk seriously, and the universe of bad outcomes between the two countries has “vastly expanded”

His message: Donald Trump is unpredictable and dangerous. Canada has even studied the far-out risk that the U.S. might use military force. So Ottawa is buying fewer American fighter jets, relying less on Elon Musk’s Starlink satellites, talking more to China on trade, and trying to depend less on the U.S. dollar. At the same time he says he still talks to Trump and a trade deal is possible.That is useful for Democrats. Their midterm pitch is: Trump’s tariffs and fights with allies raise your prices and make America look chaotic. A respected former banker saying it from Canada makes the argument easier to sell
Who wins: U.S. Democrats trying to take Congress, future Democratic presidential hopefuls who have been meeting Carney, Carney’s image at home as the guy who stands up to Trump, and the New York Times. Ordinary Americans paying more at the store, and Canadians still selling the U.S. most of its imported oil, are not the ones getting the flattering write-up
The Times never mentions Maia Johnson. She is an American who worked on Hillary Clinton’s campaign and later around Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Carney hired her to advise on U.S. strategy, then made her chief operating officer of his own office—the most powerful staff job in Ottawa
Simple version: the article paints Carney as the calm adult managing Trump risk, and skips the fact that a U.S. Democratic campaign veteran is now helping run his government and the Trump file
Tell the New York Times: if you’re going to lecture America about reliability, say who is actually sitting in the Canadian prime minister’s office
