Album 8: Music for 18 Musicians by Steve Reich This record is less a "minimalist" piece and more like a bunch of minimalist loops with different rhythms being played at the same time to form a weirdly coherent wall of sound... Minimalist Maximalism? That description probably sounds boring, but listening to the different parts swap out to form new movements is oddly mesmerizing, and the fact that actual people playing conventional instruments are able to get this kind of bizarre sound is really cool. I enjoyed this one a lot.
