At 1️⃣4️⃣, I was already building things. Masli: An app for booking cleaners at home. At 1️⃣5️⃣, I launched: Treelife. Two kids planting trees turned into bootstrapped startup of 21 people with 50,000+ users and over 200 companies like DHL and AbInBev funding reforestation through exercise. At 1️⃣7️⃣, I stepped into venture. I joined Latitud and Xfund, writing industry reports, sourcing deals, and supporting founders. Became angel investor in companies like mercury. At 1️⃣8️⃣, I appeared in @Forbes and recruited Cambridge PhDs to build Superplants: a plant-computer interface using carbon nanotubes and LLMs at MIT Media Lab. At 1️⃣9️⃣, everything accelerated. MIT Technology Review named me an Innovator Under 35 (I was one of the youngest ever featured). I exited my first startup to a major logistics company. And spent time with @lexfridman, @PeterDiamandis and the ecosystem at MIT. At 2️⃣0️⃣, I launched a blockchain-powered ticket marketplace and sold it a few months later. I took a course at Stanford GSB while building a grocery WhatsApp chatbot with the CEO of a unicorn company funded by SoftBank in Brazil. Did first half Ironman. At 2️⃣1️⃣, I joined Simón Borrero CEO at Rappi to help build Rappi Turbo’s rapid-delivery restaurants. I worked with Jamie Beaton CEO at Crimson, leading AdmitYogi after its acquisition by two Stanford founders. It was my crash course in hypergrowth and ruthless execution. I then joined @khailee to build a productivity chatbot. Did first hyrox pro. And now at 2️⃣2️⃣, I’m working on the thing that feels like my life’s work: Actioners. @_Actioners A global movement and membership for people obsessed with taking action and achieving extraordinary things. We build the systems — technology, community and physical spaces — that help ambitious people grow. Our partner is @theresidency, a renowned network of hacker houses advised by @sama, which brings a powerful support into the world we’re building. Together, we’re creating environments where momentum compounds and we are having a lot of fun. I’ve built products since I was 14. I don’t know anything else. I’m a founder because I have to. Climate tech, AI, biotech, ticketing, education, venture, hypergrowth operations — all of it was training for this moment. Actioners is where everything converges: ambition, community, technology, and the belief that people become unstoppable when they have the right environment. The certainty that human action moves the world. Extremely grateful for everyone who has been alongside me. This is the chapter I was meant to build. And it’s only getting started. Join me.

Today, we’re launching an ambitious new school called The Horowitz Andreessen Academy. Based in San Francisco, The Academy serves the most promising young high school graduates. We think this can be an elite institution that attracts top tier talent. One that prepares students for the future rather than remaining stuck in the past. The #1 goal is to help students learn to build, which is the most important skill in the AI era. They'll learn primarily by pursuing their own projects, either individually or in groups. There are classes and guest lectures, too, from some truly amazing people who have built modern-day Silicon Valley. The Academy is designed as a network, since that’s the reason students go to school in the first place. Core to that network are our 10 Founding Partners: Anduril, Anthropic, Coinbase, Google, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Palantir, Replit, and Stripe. The network includes over 50 hiring partners and over 200 speakers and mentors. To join as a hiring partner or faculty member, you can apply on our website. We raised $42M in funding led by @a16z. I'll be CEO and @pmarca and @eriktorenberg will join me on the board. Applications are open for our Founding Class Fellowship, which will be one year and tuition-free. Eventually, pending regulatory approval, we plan to offer a two-year program that charges tuition, similar in cost to an elite private university. We're looking for the most unusually ambitious young builders on the planet. Come join us in San Francisco: theacademysf.com/

"Moats" are the most BS thing in startups. No such thing exists when you start. Google, Apple, Meta can always "just build it". Defensibility is built in increments. Small, immensely focused teams outpace the biggest companies on earth. Investors, get over the moat obsession.

A few days ago I was interviewing potential users and I go to this guy. Ask for 5min. Agrees. Sit downs. He starts asking me questions after I ask something like… when was the last time you put something off? At the end he gives me a paper and writes general magic. Im Marc Porat…

“When a wave crashes on the rocks, you don’t think of the wave as having failed You think of the wave as having done its thing and the next wave will come, and the next one and that’s how I think of general magic (his failure): a moment in time” Thank you Marc

Everyone treats changing your mind as weakness. Poker players call it the edge. A new card hits the board. You re-price the hand. Every time. Stop calling down because you already put chips in. The chips you already bet don't get a vote.
