a little filming tip for anyone who makes videos on their own!! if you have a Sony camera, you should try the Monitor & Control app on your iPhone :) you can check your focus and exposure, and start recording remotely. saves me so much time when filming alone!

i forked Excalidraw and added some new features :) 🐟 draw fish and watch them swim 🏀 draw a course and drop a ball through it with @Replit Cloud Agents, you can pull in an existing repo, make your changes, and open a PR. here’s how: 1. gave the agent the Excalidraw repo and asked it to get the app running 2. described the features i wanted, tried them in the preview, and asked for tweaks 3. created my own fork on GitHub and granted the Replit GitHub App access 4. asked the agent to run the checks and open a PR against my fork here’s the PR it created ↓

here’s the PR it created! i reviewed and merged the changes into my own fork, so my version of Excalidraw now has swimming fish and a ball-drop game :) read more about it here: docs.replit.com/build/code/c…

i've been using Cloud Agents to make changes to our docs lately :) I can just tell the agent what needs to be added and it opens a PR for the team to review makes it so much quicker to keep our docs up to date!
In a Self-Driving Company, the people closest to the problem can build the solution. With Replit, anyone in the business can now contribute safely to the company codebase. More collaboration. Fewer bottlenecks. Product shipped faster.

one year ago, i posted this video and it changed the trajectory of my life 🥹 i had around 10k followers on instagram when replit reached out about a sponsorship. in the video, i built a pixel ipod that connected to spotify and played music. i was working at amazon, so i'd come home after work, it would already be dark out, and i'd spend my evenings building, filming, and editing this video. the social team at replit liked it enough to book me for 6 more videos. at the time, i was feeling really burnt out from my job. but making these videos and sharing the process of building something was giving me so much joy. it made me start seriously considering what i could do outside of software engineering. so i reached out for a referral to a devrel role. and the rest is history 🤭 moral of the story: post cool shit online!

i built my first mobile app with Replit and got it approved on the App Store! it was way simpler than i expected, so I made a video walking through the whole process :)
