Thank you to @asjwebley, @timkotzman, @ejuline and @smarterwebuk for inviting me to talk at the first UK Bitcoin Treasuries conference - a superb event🙏 Obviously this is *not* financial advice.

Nice work Joe. An important distinction between owning real BTC versus BTCTC

Fantastic presentation, @satmojoe. You made the self-custody point really stick. Shares can be useful exposure, but Bitcoin only really becomes yours when you hold the keys.

Thanks James. Agreed! Supplement (if it makes sense) but don’t substitute

Love your presentations Joe! I am always trying to remind people that just because they feel safe and warm with their Governments today, they are just one election away from tyranny and dystopia (and unrealised gains). If they have children, and they have children, Bitcoin can protect them in future as more controls are brought in to CBDCs and taxation attacks on centralises assets. History has shown us how people can lose it all in times of war and revolution. Once they cage you, you are never getting out with your valuables. Not happening. Exit and wealth taxes are coming. Bitcoin is the first financial asset in history that a person can be protected from warring armies and Government seizure, just by memorising a few words. 196 country borders are unlocked immediately. No living on your knees, begging permission from the suits to do things. If you cannot take all (or the majority) of your wealth in your mind, today, on any flight, to anywhere, then you lease what you own, just as a prison inmate leases the things in their cell. At the warden's mercy only. I hold MSTR in my UK SIPP trapped pension (I left in 2020) but otherwise I would only hold self-custody Bitcoin and not much else. x.com/SatoshiNagonna/status/…

Exactly right. Trust will always be broken so we all need to prepare ourselves and protect our loved ones. Keep up the great work helping others understand!

You’ve become by far my favorite person in the bitcoin space. You seem to be the only person not engaged in some fight against other classes of bitcoiners. Thanks for being a rare ray of sanity

Thank you, Hugh. I think all bitcoiners, regardless of group, can agree that money shouldn’t be debased and ideally you own it yourself. Everything else is preference, or circumstance, driven.
