The funniest βcompulsory LARPβ story is that Imperial Brazil didnβt really want to LARP Portugal for obvious reasons, and it did sorta LARP indigenous peoples but that was hard to do with a clearly European court structure, so it decided to LARP *Britain*. The hierarchy of titles closely matched the hierarchy of British peerages rather than the Franco-Latinate idea that a peerageβs cache comes from its *ancientness* primarily, and a count from time-immemorial could socially outrank a Duke created by letters-patent. Despite the fact that real power to invest the President of the Council of Ministers clearly belonged to the Emperor, the country was dedicated to LARPing the *image* of liberal parliamentarianism so much it actually annoyed every international observer. Politics were dominated by a Liberals vs. Conservatives model which *barely had any real ideological differences* other than wanting to LARP as Whigs and Tories. It was the most random LARP imaginable
