The Prodigal Son's Brother
When Jesus tells the parable of the Prodigal Son, many overlook the older brother.
Many of us (myself included) often "judge" someone based on what "we" believe, not what God believes.
We believe that if we have been righteous all of our lives, why should God welcome 1 sinner and rejoice and throw a feast for that sinner's repentance, when we have been faithful all (or most) of our lives?
As the father in the parable states "My son, you are here with me always; everything I have is yours (Luke 15:31)" so too, do we already have the Kingdom of Heaven and eternity with God the father.
So rejoice, when a fallen sinner repents, and regains Heaven. They are our brother (or sister). Don't be judgmental or think you are better than they are, because someday, the roles may be reversed.
Only God can judge. 🙏
