Even if we were talking only about startups, the sleight-of-hand here is to misdirect to margin rather than burn rate.
"Cheap labor" is the tell that you know nothing about startups. Successful startups focus on growth, not margins, and they pay ridiculously high salaries, compared to other industries, in order to get it.
