I was just laid off by The Washington Post in the middle of a warzone. I have no words. I'm devastated.
Waking up without power, heat, or running water. (Again.)
But the work here in Kyiv continues. Warming up in the car, writing in pencil — pen ink freezes — by headlamp.
Despite how difficult this job can be, I am proud to be a foreign correspondent at The Washington Post.

From literal drug kingpin to community sherpa, this episode tracks the evolution of an Eastside barber. Today he performs grim and valorous work for families of murder victims: Reconstructing their hair, and heads, for open casket viewings. npr.org/podcasts/1268721631/…

Got an emotional call this morning from the widow of JSO Corrections Officer Brad McNew. "I would love to know how I get you for his court case," she told Judge Corrigan. "What you are saying is so beautiful about how you handle your court." bit.ly/3NPNe5m
Chief U.S. District Judge Tim Corrigan joins host Anne @Schindy to talk about his years on the bench. The annual @rightwhalefest on @AmeliaIsland. And @MOSHJax's Eddie Whisler on spooky space dust!

Last chance to share your "ghosting" stories! DM @FCConAir with your scariest story of getting ghosted, then tune in Halloween morning at 9 when we share our faves. (We also ask relationship counselors: What's the deal?)
Have you ever ghosted👻(or been ghosted by) a friend, job or lover? I'm doing a segment on the motives and emotional impacts of the practice, and would love to hear your story. Just shoot a DM or voice memo to @FccOnAir and we may use it on air. Yes, we can keep your name secret!

@rayonier asked for this clarification: They are no longer part of the chemical company @RayonierAM, which wants to build the bioethanol plant in Fernandina Beach. Noted: The timber function split from the chemical side in 2014 bit.ly/3zc6o1e
