I did it! I fine-tuned GLiNER2.5-Decide from @fastinoAI and now my email app can auto categorize all incoming email into any categories I invent, 100% local and free. It still underperforms Jev in accuracy, speed, and context length, but it's good enough that I'm using it!

I definitely recommend fine tuning an open source model on some task just to break the mental barrier and realize you can do it and actually improve results. It seemed like something that was outside my reach but like anything else now, it's just a prompt away.

Human post: I dip my pancakes in syrup. If you cover them, the pancake gets all mushy. The current crop of bot replies: It’s the mushy part that gets me. Have you tried with waffles? It’s the dipping part people should steal. The part about covering pancakes is real.

I didn't storyboard this out at all. I just told Opus to look at our new versions feature and make a video for it with simplified UI. Got this in a few minutes. I've spent a LOT of time trying to automate videos like this with AI before. Nothing was this easy one shot.

There should be so so so many more AI tools in our toolbox that aren’t meant to output 100k lines of coherent JavaScript in one prompt. Lots of people already knew that but not nearly enough. I hope Typesafe has woken us all up to this!
