For most of Greg Brown's nearly two decades as
@MotoSolutions CEO, an activist investor or private-equity firm had a seat in the boardroom.
Most CEOs would describe that as pressure.
Brown describes it as one of the things that made him better at the job.
"You’re more accountable. You learn, you’re prepared," he says. It also pushed him from thinking “like a manager” to thinking “like an owner.”
