Just saw 2 families with children trying to cross the street at a crosswalk at each side of Phinney Ave N. A dozen drivers passed without slowing down. Each family had to run with their kids to cross before the next wave of cars. Is it the best we can do for our urban villages?

Phinney and Fremont need protected bike lanes on one side of the street like Greenlake.
Daily reminder that riding in a door zone bike lane is like playing roulette russe. These bike lanes are dangerous! And yes I am wearing a reflective vest, and I have a blinking front light… (video of a driver opening door without looking while I’m biking on Phinney Ave N)
