Winter making the slightest noise and woke her princess up 😭😭 Pponyo:

i think people need to understand what a 'remake' actually is. yes, they bought the rights to the original drama, but that doesn't mean they're obligated to recreate everything scene by scene, line by line. while the overall premise may remain the same, changes are inevitable, especially when adapting a story to fit the culture, preferences, & expectations of a different target audience. the production team also has the creative freedom to explore new approaches & put their own spin on the story. and honestly, considering how popular the OG is in its home country (which is probably why it caught the attention of another market in the first place lol), a remake can be seen as a new take on an already established story rather than just a copy of the OG. instead of constantly comparing the two & arguing over which one is better, i wish people would just appreciate what each version brings to the table, including their respective strengths & weaknesses. they're allowed to have their own identities, & one version's existence doesn't diminish the value of the other. just enjoy each version for what it is hmmmm...
