Building @concurrencehq Co-founder of Blind

San Francisco, CA
The most important thing we can apply AI to is improving medicine and human health - very excited about this partnership with the CZI and the Virtual Biology Initiative!
Today, Isomorphic Labs joins the Virtual Biology Initiative (VBI) as a founding member. We are helping build an open resource for the global research community to accelerate how we understand and treat disease. Read more here: isomorphiclabs.com/articles/…

Life of wives' are way more complex than husbands'. that's the actual hard problem
Silicon Valley keeps building me a husband when what I really want is a wife lol I don't want an agent that only does one-off, random tasks that are nice but not life-changing: booking flights, making dinner reservations, or buying tickets I want an AI wife who knows what’s on the family calendar, remembers there’s a birthday party Saturday and we haven’t bought a gift then sends me options, realizes we’re almost out of diapers and buys them, knows which bills are coming up, remembers someone needs a dentist appointment and books it, figures out what the hell we’re eating all week and what we need from the grocery store, and generally keeps track of the 47 things that need to happen before anyone else even realizes they need to happen. So, who's building me an AI wife that carries the mental load instead of an AI husband that waits for me to give it a chore??

When attention span is at an all time low, there is more noise than ever, and more people spending time alone, I wonder what's the most effective medium for getting people to understand people who are different from each other.
Dear Young People: Go hang out with friends more. Please.

3 months into healthcare, the biggest difference from consumer tech is that you don't have to consciously think about your horizon. It's endless.

Can anyone in SF let a couple of visitors use their office or business lounge for a day next Monday? All the coworking spaces are closed.

Everyone thought I was destined to fail. The first company I built was selling AI clones to coaches, sourcing revenue from a $20/month Slack community. People congratulated me when we hit $1M ARR But the truth is, we were burning capital to retain consumers The business model was unsustainable with a small TAM When I started building in healthcare, one enterprise healthcare deal arrived that doubled our revenue At that point, every advisor told me to keep the customers and revenue from AI cloning to fund the shift into enterprise I told them no. I knew dragging the old business along would ruin the new one So I churned 100% of our customers that very afternoon. I refunded every single customer so our engineering team could focus strictly on building AI infrastructure for healthcare Within the same year, we rebuilt from no revenue to $2M ARR with zero churn. Moral of the story: Don’t waste time saving a dead business. Bury it fast and move on to something better.

What do you get when you put a Stanford cancer surgeon, a Google DeepMind researcher, the engineering leader behind the world's largest clinical studies, and my co-founder in the same room? Come find out at the @concurrencehq event during SF Tech Week on Wednesday, October 7th! If you're an engineer or researcher curious about healthcare, RSVP here → partiful.com/e/RBjOKviZHlul9…

I'm sitting down with @databricks and @nvidia tonight for a fireside chat on building at the intersection of AI and life sciences! New York has the largest concentration of biomedical research institutions in the world and the country's biggest biotech workforce. It's also home to one of the deepest AI ecosystems anywhere. Come hang out if you're building or investing in the middle of that venn diagram :) RSVP via Luma: luma.com/nyc-bgcx

Excited to announce that @concurrencehq is partnering with @databricks to build Health World Models that predict patient outcomes. Together, we give healthcare organizations a unified data foundation that supplies full patient context to clinicians and AI, deployed natively on Databricks with no migration required. For those not yet on Databricks, Concurrence provides the data foundation and AI applications as a single deployment. Thank you to the Databricks healthcare and life sciences team for their partnership! Read the full announcement here: concurrence.com/blog/concurr…

Imagine every pixel on your screen, streamed live directly from a model. No HTML, no layout engine, no code. Just exactly what you want to see. @eddiejiao_obj, @drewocarr and I built a prototype to see how this could actually work, and set out to make it real. We're calling it Flipbook. (1/5)

My wife and I were in the SAME place at the SAME time, 4 years before we ever met🤯🤯🤯 I built an app that scans your photo library to reveal every time you crossed paths with someone -- before you ever met! Reply "beta" if you'd like to try it!
