Much could be solved by relearning the admonition of Exodus 20:12: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”

As a designer by trade now in product who had also done some training and practice in dev before AI hit, I’m doing more of all three at once! Seeing the dots connect and making stuff happen quicker is awesome.

design, craft and point of view are the differentiators slop-maxxing is not sufficient to win
Software is increasingly treated as disposable in the AI era. Yet we spend half our waking lives looking at screens! We don’t want to spend that time with zombie products—monotonous, vacant, and uncared for. We want products with soul. 💜 I go deep on this in my talk from @lennysan's Summit: piped.video/watch?v=GLvFTMtw…

This looks straight out of Blender, but it's all code in a single HTML file at about 186 KB. Astra can create these ultra-realistic 3D product demos for landing pages. A few three.js skills let you keep looping on the details, textures, lighting, and interactions until everything feels right. Live site: opxy.mengto.here.now Our team has been adding five landing pages and dozens of components to threeui.com every week. Reusing the same components and skills has improved the quality so much.

the right way to use model capabilities is not to ship 10x more features to prod it's to spend more time understanding your users, trying experiments, building prototypes, learning about things you don't understand so that you can ship things that actually work

User interfaces are not going away. Yes, humans will use computers alongside agents. When working with agents, we will need the ability to audit what agents do in a human-readable way. Yes, some interfaces (ex: dashboards, in-chat UI for ephemeral tasks, etc) will be generated. Most important interfaces will be intentionally designed. We will want both deterministic and non-deterministic interfaces in different situations. We're thinking a lot about the best ways to help designers shape non-deterministic systems at Figma. Yes, new input modalities like voice, VR/AR and BCI will change the way we use computers and introduce lots of new interaction paradigms. This is all very exciting :) Overall, the surface area of design will continue to grow much broader. Design is the new code and the key differentiator for software moving forward. Expect more and more energy to go into design / craft in the years ahead... it will be how you win or lose. Eric is right about plenty of things, but the market will prove him wrong on this one...
"User interfaces are largely going to go away. Because the agents speak English, or other languages. You can talk to them. You can say what you want. The UI can be generated. So I can say, generate me a set of buttons that allows me to solve this problem, and it's generated for you." - Eric Schmidt is the former CEO of Google. Today’s websites are designed for humans, with carefully crafted UIs. But we are probably moving towards UI-less web. automated bot traffic has already surpassed human activity on the web. with AI agents, this number will explode. In near future its very plausible that 90% or more of web traffic will be non-human. Imagine a web with no websites. All your favorite apps are now just databases, queried for information by agents that zip around on your behest. In a world primarily composed of bots, what happens to websites? Do agents learn to navigate them like a human? Do they go away entirely? 🤔 --- Video from 'Peter H. Diamandis' YT channel

It seems totally astonishing to me that she received a slim majority vote in a primary. When she was put in to finish out his term I had an odd feeling this would happen.

The remaining huge problem is we are not called to exterminate our enemies even as the “ontologically evil” — we are to pray for our enemies and even those who persecute us. We are to be a witness to them, not destroy them.
