I have to admit it but Claude wipes the floor even in GPT 6 Astra. I haven’t touched open ai in weeks.
sadly my average Astra experience these days. would have never predicted this a month ago.

We’re expanding our Cyber Verification Program to give security professionals broader access to our most capable models. Through this program, verified security professionals can access Claude Mythos 5.1, Opus 5.5, and Sonnet 5.5 with safeguards designed for defensive work. We’re also opening up new tiers to allow for authorized offensive work, like penetration testing and red-teaming. anthropic.com/news/cyber-ver…

I am using hermes and yes i agree with everyline. Do you?
You should be able to use smarter models in your agent. You should be able to use cheaper models in your agent. You should be able to use local models in your agent. You should be able to use a different model for every job. You should be able to switch models in the middle of a conversation. You should be able to choose what data your agent has. You should be able to choose what it remembers and what it forgets. You should be able to choose what computer your agent runs on. You should be able to run it on a machine that never touches the internet. You should be able to run it while your laptop is closed. You should be able to reach it from the apps you already use. You should be able to choose how your agent thinks. You should be able to read the prompt it runs on. You should be able to see every tool it has, and turn off the ones you don't want. You should be able to teach it something once and never explain it again. You should be able to know what it did, and when, and why. You should be able to export your agent. You should be able to read the code. You should be able to change the code. Your agent should be yours.

While i really appreciate openai for a more efficient usage i still have to recommend claude to someone who is really about coding. Claude is more efficient more effective at handling any tasks
The real story is this one

I am always on the openweight camp and oppose the closed AI model. Beam AI by @reflection_ai is releasing soon with 501B parameters. I can't afford the hardware yet but this is super good news. Opensource is good!
Introducing Beam: a highly efficient agentic open model with 501B total parameters and 23B active. - Frontier reasoning efficiency - Advances the Western open frontier on coding & agentic tasks - Trained end-to-end from scratch Full weights release this month. Kardashev-0.7 a new form of AI by @BanburyRoadAI , join the waitlist to see if one agent is not enough. Swarm is the answer. The company has asked why one huge clunky agent to tackle all your tasks? Clunky and expensive hurdle is solved with smaller swarm agent's Cheaper and faster too.
Introducing Kardashev-0.7, the world’s first trained swarm made of 32 distinct models Trained with RL for Population Scaling (RLPS), 32 models organically develop specialization & complementary capabilities, delivering frontier performance at: - 0.007x ~ 0.02x of the inference cost - 0.03x of the required memory Civilization advances through different minds specializing and working together. We’re bringing that principle into AI @BanburyRoadAI, we’re scaling intelligence by model count, toward civilizations of models that learn to build on one another

A new player from Europe has entered the chat.
Small bird, fast wings, Kolibri is here. 78B parameters. 3.46B active. Up to 1M tokens of context. Built in Europe. Now the weights are yours. Run it on your own hardware, under Apache 2.0.

A really good update lower token and effective usage after the reset
🚨 GPT-6.1 SOL:QUICK REVIEW Solid model for the price and capable across most tasks. The catch: 3D work often needs multiple passes, and Opus 5.5 still feels stronger there. The real problem is speed around 20–30 TPS compared with 100+ TPS from Opus 5.5. For Codex, I’d pair Astra for planning with 6.1 Sol for implementation. Great model. Just needs to get MUCH faster.

Thankyou to Youtube MoSidd video on remotion, i was able to create a Vox style video. It has been a passion of mine to better narrative video and production. My video could only get better from here.

This past 2 months, Here are the impressions for all of them/token usage: Codex/Chatgpt: great for coding and overall around work. Token usage for coding is quite high and can't think out of the box solution Claude: my go to project driver, saas coding and heavy workflow. Token usage is highly efficient Gemini: Just use it for nano banana image gen, ghidora meme is real 😂 Grok: grokbot and its usage is very easy to use. Good for general ai companion not coding. Token usage is moderate Minimax: It is very smart just like gpt-terra, coding is very proficient and pragmatic. Token usage highly efficient. Z.ai: very powerful model almost as good as opus level coding and deep research is exemplary. Token usage moderate. Deepseek: very good for all around help not deep coding. Token usage so cheap and super efficient, i dare you to use the V4 flash model it will last you for months in 20$ budget Kimi : coding is as good as gpt astra and very deep in system design. Token usage is so cheap too with subscription.

Google releases their new Gemini 4, to "slected user", as for me this benchmark doesnt mean anything until i get my hands on it.
Introducing Gemini 4 Argon – our new frontier model. It’s built for complex workflows across coding, enterprise knowledge work, and cybersecurity defense – rolling out today to a set of trusted testers through our Fairwind Program.

I tried and tested it too on same project, couldn't agree more on claude being better
after everything... Claude Pro $20 >>>>>> Codex $20 trust me!!

Open AI is looking for another 30B funding. This is not good news for any company, with my experience of running a business. The company is not self sufficient. Openai dev session was a disaster, no focus and so many products. When you released that many, it is a red flag sign of a struggling company trying to see what stick. techcrunch.com/2026/09/29/op…
