when i was younger i consumed fluffy uncomplex pregnancy fanart/fanfic endlessly and now i find it so hard to. that overly romanticized pov of pregnancy feels like an unattainable fantasy i can't uncouple from its politics.

there are a lot of deserved agott and olruggio comparisons but one big thing that IS different is olruggio was a gifted kid who (minus the incident) lived up to expectations, whereas agott very publicly did not

a lot of people say they advocate for children but wouldn’t be able to handle how uncomfortable csa trauma responses can be. the amount of times i see things and i’m like wow in the real world you would just think csa survivors are icky.
