Lo ha dichiarato il boss Giuseppe Graviano, ascoltato come testimone nel processo Baiardo, in corso a Firenze. Graviano ha riferito di aver appreso dell’esistenza di questi investimenti dopo la morte del padre, nel 1982. Secondo il suo racconto, sarebbe stato il nonno Filippo Quartararo a parlargliene tra il 1982 e il 1983 e, successivamente, a fargli conoscere Berlusconi. "Ci fu un incontro a Milano, in un albergo, con Berlusconi, io, mio nonno e mio cugino Salvo», ha raccontato Graviano, aggiungendo: "Ricordo una carta privata". La testimonianza, resa in videocollegamento, è stata poi temporaneamente sospesa a causa di problemi audio, per consentire il ripristino del segnale. Prima dell’interruzione, rispondendo alle domande del pubblico ministero, Graviano avrebbe riferito che «c’era una carta privata» relativa agli investimenti, a suo dire in grado di attestarne l’esistenza.
