Four years ago, while on a walk, i had an idea that it would be good to try & get other men out talking to each other & the benefits it would bring both mentally & physically, the next day I went to see @timotierney in @TheFlorrie & asked if he’d help me & @WalkFlorrie was born. I’d like thank everyone who helped start the group in 2022, so far we have lads getting help thru counselling, lads into employment, have helped lads become better in themselves & more importantly we have started men talking about their problems. Also one of our biggest accomplishment that we pride ourselves on is the different backgrounds & age groups we’ve managed to bring together. We’ve also we’ve been fortunate enough to have had our message spread by @LFC @Everton & @NIVEAMENUKalso with continued support of @TheAnfieldWrap & @TheRedmenTV to different satellite groups around the world & forged friendships & relationships with @speedomick @trevor8sinclair @Robbie9Fowler & @JamieWebster94 to name but a few, all there offer help & support when needed If anybody feels they have nobody to turn to, well you do. Remember that time they closed the motorway so I could walk down it in me knickers so i didn't get hit by a ten ton lorry 🤣. Ay up everyone , it feels like forever since iv posted on here. Iv been taking a wee break as i navigated my own life struggles as we all do. No one really knows what someone else is going through in life do they. Some people have known nothing else except struggle. I am not one of those people but sometimes I do wonder. Anyhoo I'm in a fairly good place now although life doesn't stop throwing poo at ye does it, life has no mercy even when your grieving there's no hiding place from life. I just wanted to come on here this evening to say I know that feeling of isolation and that feeling of being disconnected from everyone I really do. Speaking about this stuff or admitting its happening to you is bloody difficult even when so many people are now talking about #mentalhealth. I suffer from mentalhealth and sometimes i am so overwhelmed with life I become something else i cant find my way out, and it is very dark and I am very scared because iv lost my way as we all tend to do at one time or another. The fella in his knickers in the middle of the road flaunting it for all to see is but one side of who I am. Behind the bluff are insecurities low self esteem childhood trauma and a need to be seen doing good deeds because i don't value myself enough. These feelings run right along side the #Hope and feelings of good will sheer determination to make a positive difference in people's lives and my lust to do something about making a positive difference in people's lives. These flaws and strengths weave through my thoughts on any given day. What am I trying to say here is Well i guess im just trying to say that I know that lonely place I know that place when you just dont seem to fit it anywhere and I know about feeling worthless. Even after all of my achievements I can still feel lost. Hang in there, dont let go, you are loved and you are bloody needed in this world and you are unique please stay. There is work for you to do, you just have to get through to the next section. You will get through this you will come through this.
