I could not agree more. I don't know who is more contemptible. The Palestinians who have collectively sucked up to every terrorist who ever crossed their paths or their absolutely loathsome and retarded supporters in the West? I don't give a single fuck what happens to Gaza.

The "Haiti is a shit hole" comment was one of the best examples of 5D chess Trump ever played. Libtard entertainers: "How dare you say that about Haiti! Haiti is great!" And now whenever they cry about Haiti being too dangerous to deport anyone to, we bring receipts.
Haitians are no longer entitled to temporary protected status even though the State Dept warns travelers not to visit Haiti due to crime, unrest and limited healthcare. So it's okay to deport these folks to terrible conditions that we won't tolerate?

Once you accept this as truth, everything begins to make sense for practically every policy.

Just finished "Nuclear War: A Scenario" by Annie Jacobsen. Not exactly what I'd call the "feel good book of the summer" but I couldn't put it down. Spoiler alert: Nuclear war will last 72 minutes from beginning to end and every time the brainiacs at the Pentagon have war-gamed it, no matter how it starts, it always ends exactly the same. Total nuclear annihilation.

Jason Arday’s suicide note has been released and it’s making everyone deeply regret mocking him. “I have of late, (but wherefore I know not) lost all my mirth, forgone all custom of exercises; and indeed, it goes so heavily with my disposition; that this goodly frame the earth, seems to me a sterile promontory; this most excellent canopy the air, look you, this brave o'er hanging firmament, this majestical roof, fretted with golden fire: why, it appeareth no other thing to me, than a foul and pestilent congregation of vapours. What a piece of work is a man, How noble in reason, how infinite in faculty, In form and moving how express and admirable, In action how like an Angel, In apprehension how like a god, The beauty of the world, The paragon of animals. And yet to me, what is this quintessence of dust? Man delights not me; no, nor Woman neither; though by your smiling you seem to say so. Sincerely, J-Dawg”

Helen Andrews nails it in the brilliant article she wrote for @compactmag
The racial hysteria of 2020 didn’t come out of nowhere. Two trends have been building for decades to force American race relations to a crossroads. We can choose a different path, or we will end up with permanent 2020 by default. compactmag.com/article/the-r…

My dad passed first, my mom three years later at which point I found myself in the possession of stacks of plastic bins full of various HO scale electric trains and accessories. Now, I knew some of those might’ve been worth money but I had neither the time nor inclination to do the research on a hobby I knew nothing about or the storage space for all of these plastic bins. A couple of photos on Facebook marketplace “electric train collection $100 for everything” and it was gone the next day. I’m sure the buyer was telling all of his train buddies what a fool I was and they were jealous of the treasure trove he stumbled upon. I was happy with my $100.
Well, it's not all Boomers tbh. It's a specific demographic of hobby guys. Whether that's guns, cars, guitars or whatever. It's a normal desire to try to make something profitable, but the problem they run into is that the hobbies they are part of shrink. And non hobbyists looking for a product for daily use aren't paying hobbyist prices.

Let’s cut the bullshit. We all knew Graham Platner was a degenerate piece of shit months ago. The guy with the Nazi-linked tattoo he apparently bragged about. The deleted Reddit posts blaming rape victims and telling them to “take some responsibility.” The ex-girlfriends describing him as abusive, controlling, threatening, and worse. The sexting while married. The whole toxic package. Yet you sleazy bastards nominated him anyway. You defended him. You platformed him. You looked the other way because he was your shiny new populist weapon against Susan Collins. Power was all that mattered...not the women he allegedly hurt, not basic decency, not the obvious red flags waving in your faces. What the fuck took you so long to finally call out this Nazi-wearing asshole? Only when the fresh rape allegation hit the headlines, him allegedly forcing his way into an ex’s home drunk in 2021 and assaulting her while she said no, did some of you start pulling endorsements and pretending to be shocked. Pathetic. You didn’t grow a conscience; you grew scared of losing the seat. This is who you are now: a party so addicted to power that you’ll ride with predators, abusers, and frauds as long as they deliver votes and hurt the other side. Principles? Character? Truth? Those are for suckers and press releases. Tribal power is the only god you worship. We’re done watching you drag the country through your corrupt, hypocritical sewer. Next time and there will be a next time...own your guy’s atrocities from day one instead of gaslighting everyone until the scandals become undeniable. The American people aren’t stupid. We see exactly what this is: power at any cost, ethics be damned. Disgusted, the people who’ve been right all along.

It's an interesting feeling to see an iconic album cover. My U.S. Navy Cruiser pulled in to Portsmouth, England for a port visit. I decided to take the train to London for the night. Looked out my window and was excited to see from a distance the Battersea Power Station.
The Who during an impromptu roadside photoshoot that would ultimately yield the iconic cover art for 'Who's Next,' Celebrated rock photographer Ethan Russell was actually driving the band back to London after a show in Sunderland when they looked out the window and saw these bizarre, giant concrete structures jutting out of the coal waste slagheaps at Easington Colliery. Because Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey was a massive cultural phenomenon at the time, the band immediately saw these pillars as a hilarious, industrial version of the movie's alien monolith. Russell pulled the car over, and the guys started fooling around, climbing the sides, and posing for the lens. Just moments after this specific shutter clicked, they decided to pull a legendary prank that resulted in the final, iconic cover photo for their absolute masterpiece album, Who's Next. It is a spectacular behind-the-scenes look at four rock icons just acting like kids in a wasteland, completely unaware they were making art history.
