Reciting a prayer will not save you, but having faith and trust in Jesus and His work on the cross does. Prayer can be connected to the act of placing your faith in Jesus alone for salvation. There are many ways to pray, but this is just one I found online. Fully trust His death as the sufficient sacrifice for your sins. Completely rely on Him alone as your Savior. "Dear Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son and that He became a human being, shed His blood, and died on the cross to pay the penalty and clean away the sin that has separated me from You.
