New Orleans is so architecturally beloved because we are good about building at a human scale. Even our grandest buildings, like the cathedral, are relatively quaint. It’s the consistency with which the city is beautiful that makes her noteworthy.

New Orleans allows you to lead a lifestyle that, if you allow it, is so different from the typical American lifestyle. It’s European reminiscent in a sense. But simultaneously its own animal.
When I was a senior in High School they gave us little cards with what our diplomas would look like. Bars would accept it as proof we were 18 if the name matched our ID’s. Initially confused, but it was explained *wink wink* why we’re actually giving these to you.
