“If you want to spend your life nursing grievances, you will never run out of grievances to nurse, regardless of what color your skin is.”
— Thomas Sowell
People who dwell on grievances often lose sight of a simple fact: life is inherently unfair. Inequality exists in all areas of life; anyone who keeps searching for reasons to feel wronged will always find more.
That does not mean we should simply ignore injustice. But we can recognize life’s unfairness without letting it define us. The more we nurse grievances, the more they distort our view of the world and hold us back.
