Last week, a new snippet from Rookie of the Year contender, Scottyolorin had Nigerian Music Twitter buzzing. Sampling Wizkid's "Manya," the record was yet another emphatic display of Scotty's exceptional talent and remarkable command of melody. But while Scotty's performance is what immediately grabs your attention, the production behind it is just as compelling. At the helm is OYB, a budding producer duo comprising of PDG and Kayeeh, whose increasingly distinctive sound has made them the most exciting producer duos in Nigerian music today.
They bursted onto the scene off the back of Straffitti and Wavestar's hit track "Canacetamol" and have since developed an exciting chemistry with Nigerian star, Wavestar. The trio have struck up a partnership that has delivered popular singles like "Trap," "Cloud 9," "Government Money" and "Rick Owens."
