Watching the funeral of Olu Jacobs, one prayer just keeps coming to my mind
"God, abeg, let me &my husband grow old together."
And I don't mean the kind of old age where sickness has taken over and you can barely do anything for yourself. No, no, no. I want us to grow old together, healthy, strong and still enjoying life.
I want to see our children all grown, married and settled in their own homes, with their own children. I want us to sit together and watch our grandchildren running around, knowing that we made it this far together. 🥹
Because honestly, with the kind of heart I have, I don't think I can survive this kind of loss.
If he dies at 4:00 a.m., I don't mind following him at 4:01 a.m.
God, abeg. Let us grow old together. Very old, but healthy, strong and together.
May God comfort Joke Silva. Some losses are just too heavy to imagine. 💔
