LOL More mindless fearmongering by Melaine. Indeed Gran Paradiso glaciers are retreating, but not from temperatures but from snowfall starvation. Melaine cherrypicks his glaciers to blame humans.
Gran Paradiso is located in the internal axial belt of the Western Italian Alps and is surrounded by a ring of massive 4,000-meter peaks like Mont Blanc, it suffers from a pronounced rain shadow effect. The ring of massive 4,000-meter peaks force the moist air masses to lift and drop their moisture early before reaching the Gran Paradiso glaciers. Based on lapse rate physic the accumulation zone at and above 3000 meters the temperatures average -5C. Even with 1.5 warming allegedly due to humans, -3.5C doesn't melt glaciers!
