i’m joining @aeonframework as an engineer.
the last few months i’ve been building skopos and a bunch of other stuff, contributing to projects like @elizaOS and @making_cindy, @merit_systems shipping security fixes across other projects ,working on x402, and spending way too much time messing with agents.
somewhere in there aeon stopped being an experiment and became something i ran every day. first on my own projects, then for security research, market research, and coding. then i started contributing. now i’m working on it
what stood out: @aaronjmars and @0xNurstar are both ridiculously hands-on, the project moves fast, and there’s a very real bias toward actually building things instead of spending weeks talking about what might be possible.
i’ve also met some genuinely great people through all of this, including @z0r0zzz and had a few conversations that turned into opportunities i can’t talk about yet.
one of those eventually became this.
i’ll be building with @aaronjmars and @OxNurstar, and spending a lot more time around builders who are using agents, building agents, and figuring out what they can actually do.
i’ve already been running aeon pretty hard these past couple weeks, and it’s been a genuinely fun team to build with.

It is the number of businesses that can be created from the same execution core:

These products operate under one economic system.
Aeon allocates 50% of non-fee product revenue to base:0xbf8e8f0e8866a7052f948c16508644347c57aba3 buybacks. Most fee-bearing hooks also include a fee routed toward buybacks.
If one Aeon product gains traction, part of that value returns to the wider ecosystem.
If several succeed, Aeon becomes a portfolio of agent-operated businesses sharing the same infrastructure and value-capture layer.
And the most important part: the team keeps shipping.

Most fee-bearing hooks include a protocol fee, creating a revenue stream that scales with product usage.
5. The business model compounds around one core

Security work improves the security skills.

we (@aeonframework) reported a bug to bytedance (tiktok) in may.
134 days of silence, we kept on pinging them etc.
we've published the bug yesterday on aeon security blog.
overnight:
- they wrote a fix for our exact bug
- merged our patch
- emailed us "already known, fixed aug 2"
turns out big corps can ship fast. they just need the right incentive :)

a few weeks ago , caught a pretty nasty one in ZSvirt:
a committed private RSA key deployed as a root SSH credential across every managed node, alongside an SSO auth bypass with TLS verification disabled and an unverified JWT.
