$NIO continued to demonstrate strong execution of its organizational capabilities in the first half of 2026.
In June 2026,
#NIO delivered 40,597 vehicles, setting a new year-to-date record, up 62.9% year-on-year. It also marked the third time in the company’s history that monthly deliveries exceeded 40,000 units.
Among them, the NIO brand delivered 21,908 units (+50.1%), ONVO delivered 11,743 units (+83.5%), and firefly delivered 6,946 units (+76.7%), with all three brands achieving strong year-on-year growth.
Looking at NIO in isolation, this growth performance may not fully capture the broader picture. However, when placed in the context of the overall Chinese automotive industry, NIO’s 67.4% growth in the first half of 2026 ranks first in the industry. (PICTURE 2)
More importantly, this growth trajectory has moved beyond simple scale expansion into a phase of “system capability realization.” In the first half of the year, NIO continued to operate under its CBU (Cell Business Unit) mechanism introduced last year, balancing revenue and cost across product, technology, marketing, and energy, while managing investment-return cycles. This has delivered tangible results: following Non-GAAP profitability in Q4 last year, the company again achieved Non-GAAP profitability in Q1 this year. This sets up strong expectations for NIO’s overall first-half financial performance.
Against the backdrop of intensifying competition and mounting pressure across China’s automotive industry, only companies that translate systemic capabilities into real operating results can sustain healthy long-term growth.
Two consecutive quarters of profitability signal that NIO has already validated its strategic direction and is gradually entering a higher-quality development phase.
On the product side, both in terms of unit sales and average selling price, all three of NIO’s brands continue to move upward in the premium EV segment.
✅ The third-generation ES8 has successfully crossed the industry’s typical “valley of death” for new products and continues to deliver strong incremental growth.
✅ The launch of the ES9 further expanded access to higher-end users, achieving 10,000 deliveries within just 30 days, making it the fastest-selling 500,000 RMB-class premium electric SUV to reach this milestone.
✅ ONVO, while focused on the mainstream family segment, now has a well-rounded product lineup, with an average selling price of approximately RMB 250,600, on par with brands such as Tesla and Li Auto. (PICTURE 3)
✅ firefly continues to lead its competitors in the premium compact car segment, maintaining the No.1 market share position for 13 consecutive months.
✅ NIO has already achieved partial overtaking of BBA. From January to May this year, NIO ranked No.1 in sales in 41 cities or regions across China, fully surpassing BBA in those markets.
On the technology and energy front, NIO has also entered a phase of execution and realization:
✅ The in-house developed Shenji chip, after being spun off into an independent company and completing separate financing, has demonstrated its recognized value within the industry.
✅ The NIO World Model received another major upgrade in June, covering 700,000 users and enabling synchronized evolution across two vehicle generations.
✅ NIO Power has built more than 9,000 battery swap and charging stations across China, with cumulative swaps exceeding 110 million, forming the country’s largest-scale energy replenishment infrastructure network.
From growth to profitability, from individual products to system-wide execution, and from single-brand momentum to multi-brand synergy, NIO has officially entered a new long-term growth phase driven by system capabilities.
