In a recent award ceremony, Yichu Li was announced the winner of the Digital Art & Moving Image category. Her project YICHU 1.0 is a three-chapter experimental moving image and performance work exploring protopian futures, digital embodiment, and AI-mediated identity. Set in a world where human consciousness transcends the limits of the physical body, the work examines how memory, identity, and emotion transform under algorithmic influence, blurring the boundaries between self and system, performer and machine. Part of the Wild Within series of lens-based artworks, Natural Order transforms abandoned room into a digital space where nature takes over. Dutch-Canadian artist Ryan Koopmans and Swedish artist Alice Wexell travel the world documenting architectural ruins—from Armenian temples and Georgian sanatoriums to villas in the Middle East and Italy. Using photography and 3D scans, they capture the interiors and then digitally add plants, flowers, and overgrown foliage.
