As much as I really liked the new Sense and Sensibility…I don’t think it’s as good as 2005 Pride and Prejudice or 2020’s Emma. The final place in the trinity is still vacant for me. Occupied by Ang Lee’s version until someone finally takes it’s place.

The fact that the suggestion worked is so disheartening because people will tell you non-black people don’t know the difference between a monoracial black person and a mixed race person or a biracial with a black parent but clearly they do and it reflects in their casting choices
you hear stories like this from black actresses and a lot of #things start making sense
