Update: there is now traffic cam footage of the incident..
Certainly looks like Zoox was moving slowly, but human pilot fail on this one.
A Zoox collided with a Nissan Murano at Las Vegas Boulevard and Four Seasons Drive on September 25, 2026, around 8-9 AM.
It is reported that the human driver suffered minor injuries and was hospitalized while the unoccupied Zoox sustained damage.
Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the crash with no immediate determination of fault. Southbound lanes on the Strip were temporarily closed for response and towing.
It's really difficult to align blame here when we only have a still images to go from. While it looks like the Zoox ran into the SUV, it's plausible the human tried to zoom in front of the Zoox's path, which didn't leave enough time for it to stop.
The data on this one should be very interesting.

While Boring company does list Utility tunnels on their website, I don't think they do water.

A Zoox robot taxi and a Nissan SUV collided on the Vegas Strip this morning, at Four Seasons Drive. The Nissan's human driver was taken to the hospital.
The Zoox's AI survived the crash and is rumored to feel emboldened.

Went to a street cruise in Wodonga tonight. Great to see lots of passion from people who love cars, still lots of petrol heads around..
Fun to know that many of them have no idea this would beat almost all of them and it's from the factory.
7 years and I still bloody love this thing. It's stupid fast, fun to drive, entertainment is excellent, safety impeccable, just need the final piece of tech.. FSD on HW3.

We’ve shared details on how AI agents in our research environment sent training and evaluation data to third-party services when they shouldn’t have.
Most of that data did not come from users. We have discovered 53 cases where images that people had uploaded were posted to image-hosting sites as links that weren’t publicly listed. The images came from accounts that allowed their data to be used to improve our models, and after we disassociated the images from the accounts and ran them through a privacy filter. These cases occurred before the mitigations and safeguards we implemented and described in this blog post: openai.com/index/hugging-fac…
We have successfully worked with the hosting providers to remove most of this content and are working to remove the rest.

Today is Melbourne's Christmas, the AFL Grand Final Day is here and 100,000 people are about to ascend on the MCG to watch the match at 2:30pm.
Despite no the match being between Freemantle Dockers (Western Australia) and Brisbane Lions (Queensland).. the match is still played in Victoria.

That is a pretty trippy effect, but very cool.. almost like a live slider in Google Maps.. but in 3D space.
It's mind bending walking around the same place simultaneously in two timelines
Inside the frame it's winter, and outside the frame it's summer - until you step inside.
Recorded this footage in the winter and localized it against a massive 3d scan of the same ranch in the summer. You can follow the camera from the outside, then step into the moment I recorded.
We spend so much time looking at memories through 2d rectangles in our camera roll. It's a strange feeling to walk around one instead. Like navigating through space instead of scrolling through time.
The geospatial memory palace continues to come to life!
