ChatGPT Voice in normal chat feels very personable today. Super cheerful and even cracked a joke without prompting.

OpenAI is still riding the first-movers advantage all these years later. They don’t need to innovate they just need to make a product that works well. They are like Apple in that way.

OpenAI has let Anthropic lead the frontier for long periods of time previously. Heck I don’t think OpenAI truly made a big mark on the coding side of things till GPT 5.5. Great model with a goblin mascot. Usually OpenAI tosses a ball then Anthropic juggles multiple in back.

I’m wanting to try Opus 5.5. Never swapped from OpenAI before but the things I’m seeing Opus 5.5 do… Especially the web pages and a bit of a travel story as you scroll. That would look amazing on a portfolio page… Just saying 6 Sol was a flop.

I use Nvidia’s Parakeet and OpenAIs Whisper Large to double-check if anything translated off or strange.
I use it daily on my vlog translating between 5-15 minutes of me straight talking every day.

I just did a big first principles file migration. I probably should’ve started with that so I didn’t have to use like 8% of my usage.

While AI can build just about any program, they need a smarter model that knows what a good program looks like with tests in the right places.

Astra + Voice took 2 hours to drain 50% of my weekly usage. Still waiting for that intelligence too cheap to meter.

Must be nice if I went on a one hour walk and accidentally chose Astra to do things with… oof that’s a ton of my usage gone. It took two hours last night to drain 50% of my weekly usage with voice + Astra.
