Dealing with the next annoyance on the GRiD Gridcase 1530: The hinge bearing. It is plastic, likely nylon and it cracks/crumbles. So, 3D printing to the rescue:

Since I am a data hoarder, I found my old installer for Scour Media Exchange. Now, THIS was a blast from the past. I used this post-napster shutdown, just before I got onto Kazaa. Kinda wished it still worked.

I do remember when this happened. The incrimental updates to the H card, in-fact, 63 updates as the card kept a USW register in EEPROM. "Game Over" wasn't on screen, it was written to OTP. I only had 1 card stay alive, and it was a modded activation. piped.video/watch?v=fAyp4CY2…

Finally! Definitely a twist. Thought the primary issue was going to be the Plasma display panel, but nope! It's the keyboard. Gotta work on that next.

Never saw the control panel! But I had so much fun on that coaster as a kid. I used to live 20 to 30 minutes away from Kings Island, so we went all the time by my teens. Downside to that thing was it being extremely jerky and rough.
Here’s a look at the control panel for The Beast, as it appeared in 1980 — just one year after the world’s longest wooden roller coaster opened at Kings Island. Imagine how many trains were dispatched from this panel during The Beast’s early years.

This is the very first kit which sparked it all for me, dad got it for me from the thrift store and it was missing the book. That didn't stop 6 year old me from tinkering around with it anyways!
