Canada watching us botch a lethal injection
BREAKING: Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is halting the state’s remaining execution for 2026 and ordering a third-party review after officials fail to execute death row inmate Christa Pike.
Pike received two syringes of lethal injection Wednesday night but remained alive and could be heard snoring, according to her attorneys and media witnesses. Her legal team filed an emergency motion to stop the execution as the situation unfolded.
Pike was later transported to an off-site medical facility.
Lee says the state has a responsibility to ensure executions are carried out legally, constitutionally, and effectively.

No human remains have been found at Kamloops. After 5 years and ~$12M in funding given to First Nations to find bodies, the site was never excavated. Globe & Mail admitted the 215 graves claim was unproven and media failed to scrutinize what may be nothing more than grift.

This won the Pulitzer Prize in 1993. Not because the persons trauma became “a prop” but because it humanized the trauma. This child eventually died. Just like this person on a child’s playground will eventually die, if things do not change. Facing a problem head on is what lets you deal with it, not shame people for taking the photo
