Just another black man caught up in the mix. Artist (allegedly lol) I talk about music & animation too much. Letterboxd: boxd.it/1P0Td

Among many reasons as to why Eric's death has affected me so much is the fact that he was a person of color, taking on enormous roles in a field that generally has not passed the torch of legacy animated characters to POC voices actors. The idea of a Filipino man being the next voice of Bugs Bunny was such a huge huge step in the right direction for seeing talent in places that were often overlooked. His presence inspired so many young voice actors from minority groups to step into the field and bat with the big leagues.

Idk where to begin with a favorite performance, but when this came out I couldn't stop listening to it. I had it on loop in the BG for days while I drew bc the sheer adrenaline pumping joy and mania of his voice was crack. That cackle he does at the six sec mark. I just love it

Only caricature I remember being spot-on in the reboot was Seth Meyers, from the grotesque facial expressions to his mannerisms. IDK who on the writing staff he pissed off but they had way more smoke for him than anyone else they parodied aside from Trump lol.
I forgot how caricatures in the revival gave me hives. There's something playful about the caricatures from the OG show (same goes for TTA)

The ONLY thing in Brand BND that I felt was inferior to Watts' films was Giacchino's score, which was shocking to me. So non-descript a lot of the time ala many a Hans Zimmer wannabe, which is sad coming from such a great composer.

You can tell it's been a really solid run when the most common critique often just boils down to "i've had to see too many minorities in a row"

I didn't think I'd be making a post like this for a few more decades, but my friend Eric Bauza— known best for being the voice of nearly the entire Looney Tunes lineup— has passed away. Words cannot begin to describe just how stunned and shattered I am by this news. I met Eric at LA Comic Con a few years ago, and we instantly started going through the rolodex of Looney Tunes voices. He helped me when I was agency shopping a few years ago, and was always incredibly supportive of me. It meant so much to me to know that someone of his stature was so willing to help me and respond to me when I needed. Sending my condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. #ericbauza

After 81 seasons, the NBA has officially ended. The Boston Celtics won the most championships in NBA history at 18.
Thank you to everyone who was involved in the NBA from the beginning to the end, it was one hell of a run! 🫡

I’m so shellshocked and can barely even begin to think. Eric Bauza was always so sweet and encouraging to me in all the times we talked together, he’d leave such kind encouraging comments on my art and knew I loved his Daffy enough to sing happy birthday to me in his voice.

A much better ear for prodution, a discography worth listening to beyond 3 or 4 albums and i'd argue more quotables than any other rapper. Even the mid-tier albums like Blueprint 2 have several classic tracks on them.
