Imagine getting paid to pick yourself. Jay-Z just did. It's going to be horrible with 100 people on stage. Can Jay Z even sell out a stadium concert? I don't remember the last time I listened to a Jay Z song that was just his and not a feature. All he does is WIN.

If you see "AI;DR" in your companies work channels, your company's culture is in decline. Once it proliferates, it's over. Expect major declines in performance, retention, productivity, and employee engagement. This is a five alarm fire to your culture. It will infect all.

HR screens for culture not for skills. HR should never be doing the screening for jobs. You either have someone in talent that works like a business partner or teams lead the selection process If you use HR for selection this will happen 7/10 times and 10/10 for technical hires

Last year I stopped using Google for questions. Why Google for an answer when you can get it from an LLM? Two months ago I switched back to Google. I learned very quickly that I spent more time getting an answer from an LLM then I do with Google. It's not even close anymore.

LLM are better for deep research or continuous iterations on a question. When my question likely has a follow up question, my default is LLM. But if I just need a simple answer and require no follow up. Google delivers every time now with AI overview. Both are AI powered.

And here's the paradox. I still trust Gemini in search but I never open the standalone app for anything even though I pay for Google workspace. Maybe I am the only one going back to search. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I reverse engineered Pocket and made it 10X better. Right now: the app is full of ads, the microphone is low quality, it constantly misspells peoples names, and has no agentic features. I changed that.

Ben Horowitz: “Anthropic is one of the most negligent companies that we've ever seen in terms of security.” “I'll tell you a funny story. So when we first got Opus 4.5, we were doing cybersecurity checks for the firm. So we had an agent basically set up a website for a pet store. And then we took another agent and said, ‘Tell us if we can exploit that web store.’ And it gave us all the exploits it could find. So Opus 4.5 wrote really buggy code. Great. And then we said, ‘Oh, the SQL injection, is that actually exploitable that you found?’ And it goes, ‘Let's pop it open.’ And the agent using Opus 4.5 breaks into the website and steals all the customer data immediately. We then call Anthropic, and what they tell us is, ‘You prompted it wrong.’ Like that was their answer.”

Spent years watching models ace a single image and completely whiff on anything that moves or changes angle. Today we’re fixing that. Try Glimpse now, our first visual thinking model with competitive frontier performance compared to Astra on key public visual reasoning benchmarks.

Drone that drives or car that flys. Does it matter?
Yesterday was Elon’s greatest magic trick. It got everybody believe an amazing technological gap had just been made. I got fooled too. At first, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I was so excited. And don’t get me wrong , the technology, the precision at which the car did what it did, was fabulous. However, it was not a car doing it. And that is the true, Machiavellic genius of Elon. There is no flying car. There is no car at all. It was an empty shell. As light as possible. No seats. Nothing. Full of gas tanks. With a maximum of 2 secs of thrust usage. In other words, it was a drone. A drone with a shell that looked like a car. Imagine if it had been a square piece of metal instead. You would have said “nice”. The truth is, it is nothing more than that. It was not the car that you will see in the street. It was just a piece of light metal, that had the same body as the one you wil buy. The technology exists since a long time. If nobody did it, it’s not that they didn’t think about it’s it’s because it is not sustainable. It is not achievable. So why were we fooled ? Because most people can’t imagine the biggest entrepreneur and genius of our century would have put millions into a show and be ruthless enough to put a fake car in a demonstration with the goal of selling something that will have nothing to do with what he is showing. It was a show. A spectacle. Pure manipulation. Ruthless, immoral marketing. The whole “ socialism vs capitalism” or “Europe vs America” we are seeing is the result of a fabulously done propaganda. The car doesn’t fly. It never will. Most importantly, there wasn’t any car on that show. But the brainwashed idiots that we are will rush to buy it, waiting for another two years ( 9 have passed already since the preorders), only to receive something that has nothing to do with what we have seen. Expect the shell. But in 2026, it seems it is what we are. Empty shells for which entertainment and lies are enough to make us dance like apes. Porsche maybe didn’t do a flying demonstration. But at least they will deliver exactly what they have shown. And it will drive better than any Tesla ever will ( especially if it weights two fugging tons).

notice.. > Delta is blocking AI agents from booking flights > JPMorgan Chase and Charles Schwab block agents from accessing accounts > Yelp requires paid data licensing for agents > Amazon has blocked Grok bot and other shopping agents. the internet is starting to block AI agents that were supposed to do everything for us

I was so inspired by Tesla's launch I asked Grok what if instead of a flying car they made drones that could drive.
Turns out the future does have flying cars

was at a community event and was asked a somewhat sad question: should developers be afraid of the labs eating the new possibilities jev opens up? with AI (system one) + software (system two): 1. there's no going back to a world without system one models 2. you control the software! 3. there's no way AI could beat the efficiency of this combo 4. you don't even send the model providers your whole program logic I think the days of "wrapper" apps will be seen as some of the darkest in software because people essentially did all of their programming in a system message and sent it over to a third party who was incentivized to bake that behavior into their 1st party product... keeping your logic in code and only asking AI for the minimum reverses that and keeps all of your logic yours. if you decompose enough, model providers can't even figure out what you're working on

I’m hearing this a lot lately. AI is unlocking value but humans are still essential for that value to realized. The trend is clear when you unlock that value, you need more people to serve more customers.
OK, I might have been wrong about building with a lean team in the age of AI. We’re now at 40 people and plan to double in the next 6 months. When building is this much better, easier, and faster, the opportunity cost of not building more is huge. We’re hiring because you still need humans in many parts of the building loop. Yes, building is easier, but that just makes me want to build more things. Serve more customers. Build the best product they’ve ever used. The reality is that products today still suck. Coding is solved, but building great products hasn’t been. Products still don’t do everything you want them to do. They’re still buggy. They’re not flexible enough. Building still needs humans. That might change, but it doesn’t make sense to act like we already live in that world when we don’t. I want to build more, grow more, and achieve more. I want more customers who love our product and get real value from it. And I want to enjoy this beautiful moment in history, when building is so much easier and still so fulfilling.
