Can I note that this is 100 percent an idea that came right out of the mouth of Putin which Trump shared without ever checking whether it was true or possible. Should be instructive.
More than 40 countries - Canada and its allies - have sanctions against Belarus for supporting war criminal Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.
Buying blood potash from Belarus is supporting Russian aggression.
It’s wrong and it doesn’t make sense.
All of that potash has to be shipped first through Russia, then across the ocean, then across the US to mid-western farmers.
Does anyone believe Belarusian blood potash shipped through Russia is going to be more affordable, more sustainable or more ethical than potash shipped from Saskatchewan - right here in North America?

I’ve always found it super helpful to appreciate the theological diversity in the Early Church. From the recapitulation theology of Irenaeus to the ecclesiology and sacramentality of Ignatius, and from the logos theology of Justin Martyr to the apostolic focus of Clement of Rome, the catholicity in the first centuries is inspiring.

As a connected thought, I remember being shocked by how creative and novel Augustine is in his writing, particularly in his integration of platonism. I had been introduced to him as “the” soteriologically dogmatic theologian through the neo-Reformed tradition. Nothing could be further from the truth.
