The prosecution is claiming on behalf of Brian Cole Jr. that he is not getting adequate representation because his attorneys have a conflict of interest… with individuals (Steve Baker and Joe Hanneman) who willingly hired them to act as their attorneys? So the prosecution is trying to protect Brian Cole AND Steve Baker by getting Brian’s attorneys kicked off the file? How benevolent of them!
Brian Cole Jr Trial: The prosecution now seeks the opportunity to have Cole's lawyers removed from the case. The same prosecution who wasn't worried about Cole's right to a preliminary hearing is now worried that his lawyers could have a conflict of interest. Disgusting.

Interesting that the DOJ thinks #FReeBrianColeJr isn't getting a proper attorney, but they have Zero concern for Steve Baker. Funny how that works. Just throw crap at the wall until something sticks!

So the prosecution is conflicted by same standard. Prosecution is always "the government" against the people. Prosecution (government) against Brian Cole, prosecution (government ) against Steve Baker. Yet we are suposed to believe legal conflict only on the defense side? 😂

It’s odd they were not too concerned about his representation when they were interrogating him?

Brian and his family can use any defense team they want! Talk about a conflict of interest! The prosecution could give a shit about Brian's rights! They framed him. He has a right to select his own console! Ffs!🙄 Ridiculous!

Seems as if they were truly concerned they would release him from prison and admit they have no evidence that he did what they are accusing him of.

Not that I’m rooting for the DOJ, but it seems obvious that in the future it could be argued that Cole’s attorneys were incentivized to reject any plea deals because it would hurt their other client in his civil case. The conflict here is unfortunately real.

There’s a conflict of interest here Viva. Beyond that glaringly obvious fact, how is BCJr going to get a fair shake if his attorneys are onboard with Steve Fakers retracted and debunked story….

This is an obvious delay tactic meant to push out the Kerkhoff lawsuit. But there is some merit to the DOJ's strategy here. Not a fan of these legal games, but it's pretty par for the course. x.com/NYCMagaGuy/status/2103…
