I think it's an astoundingly pro-art movie, it just has the same perspective on art that Oscar Wilde and the Romantic aesthetes did, which is that the art matters in itself and how it affects others, not because of its meaning to the social world at large.
I do love Digger but not in the way that Twitter does, which is defeatist, self-flagellating, and using it to condescend to every other movie ever made. Again, I think this is a misread by both fans and critics of the film: it’s not simply deriding art.
