Elite team! So proud @winnielaux
it’s not every day that you get to work with people you love and love what you do. I feel incredibly lucky to have the opportunity to do both with @strobefund. we recently spun out of @blocktower and started strobe, a new early-stage venture fund focused on backing bold founders who are leveraging onchain primitives to create new markets and replatform industries. i’m excited to be able to do this alongside my two amazing partners, @tklocanas and @spvenino33, whom i’ve had the privilege of investing with for the past three years. and we’re humbled to have the backing and trust of an amazing group of LPs. in addition to our core team, strobe is further amplified by our venture partner network, which includes amazing folks like @humancapitol, @proofofk, @kevinlichan, @neilhar, @skoff_dlt & others who extend our geographical reach, operational capabilities, and domain expertise. together, we’ve partnered with some of the smartest founders in the space, and we’re just getting started !!

this is actually so funny to me. I love @xiaohongshu (directly translates to “little red book”📕) and use it all the time when I travel. this week, my entire feed is americans posting on it, and the comments section does not disappoint. most of the app (even if you set it as english) is in chinese, so folks are learning chinese in order to navigate it. Tiktok lingo and culture are slowly getting integrated into the comments section (but in chinese slang!!) it’s crazy to see because in the last 20 years of social media, there’s never been a time where only americans and chinese citizens have coexisted on a single social app. growing up, we watched youku instead of youtube. used weibo instead of twitter. even now, chinese have douyin and can't access US-tiktok. so, seeing Americans literally opt for little red book over instagram reels, and then seeing chinese users welcome americans is just the gen z humor I love.
Tik Tok refugees are downloading RedNote en mass as a huge FU to the Biden admin ... it’s gonna be a hilarious two weeks

Having met hundreds of people in the past year, I’ve noticed that self-esteem has a way of showing through the eyes. It’s a look of containment as opposed to leakiness. The gaze is whole onto itself, steady, warm, deeply aware, heartfelt, and here. It reflects an embodied sense of alignment. The system generates and feeds on its own energy. A leaky gaze is characterized by energy pouring into different directions. There’s a desire for exchange, a feeding, or a forcefulness to convey a certain idea rooted in the future or past. It doesn’t feel fully here. The machinery underneath is not integral and thus requires energy from external sources as it sputters to survive. Next time you really want to know someone, look into their eyes and no matter what you see - send love and compassion.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it🌟 despite the distinction we make, web3 consumer dapps will behave no different than web2’s. a lot of the same web2 playbooks & behaviors will still apply to web3… just a bit more nuanced. here are a few tried-and-trued lessons that worked.

The future of (web3) work is inevitably changing. Recent trends such as the explosion of freelance work (esp among younger generations), demand for crypto-native talent, and the introduction of DAOs have led to individuals seeking different forms of "work."👩‍💼💻

Everyone is building a wallet💸 This is because the wallet is emerging as the home base for how consumers will interact in this new web3 paradigm. Whether it be showcasing NFTs, participating in DAOs, voting on proposals, chatting w others… everything will be tied to your wallet

Is it possible for a group of women to have BDE? Boys Club has BDE. This was so much fun
Standing room only at last night's Define the Relationship: Climate x Crypto event in Brooklyn. Thank you @callmechelsea and @KlimaDAO for schooling us on the intersection of these two worlds.

Women silently endure many pain points at various life stages. Given the associated stigma attached, #womenshealth has traditionally been ignored by investors. At @M13Company, we’re dedicated to investing & normalizing the conversation around these taboos. m13.co/article/how-femtech-i…
