Update 2: I was given the 40mg dose of SOLU-MEDROL (steroid). When I looked this up, itโs the exact dose that contains a milk derivative. MILK IS WHAT LANDED ME IN HERE. It would explain my episode last night that landed me back in ICU. Docs wonโt give me a straight answer now
Update: I was transferred upstairs to a normal bed after ICU yesterday. Seemed to be doing better, received 2 doses of steroids, one before transfer & 1 after, plus a dose of azithromycin. Woke up at 3am wheezing like crazy, nebulizer didnโt help. They transferred me back to ICU

My Nโex was being โkindโ & dropped by my work w/ our kids. He brought me a steak salad. 3 bites in I realized there was blue cheese mixed into the dressing. Went into full anaphylaxis. Used an epi pen for the first time ever. Tried to sleep it off. Terrible idea. Went to the ER-

My Nโex is EXTREMELY involved with our kids. It stems from his need to control. From the outside, he looks like a great parent. Yet my kids are filled w/ anxiety when they transition back to me. & my 9yo says he has nightmares there & โfeels really scaredโ at dads but not moms ๐ฉ
You canโt be a good dad and an abusive partner.
Dr Emma Katz is clear: the problem is the abuser. Coercive control harms children psychologically even when no one is hit. Impacts continue after separation. โBad partner, good dadโ is an outdated myth.
Courts and social workers still force contact while children come home distressed. Research shows the most common outcome when contact stops is children ending up happy and safe.
This is the system failure I write about.
