NEW: Former Georgia officer gets life after a jury convicts him of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old in his patrol car Richard Goodine has just been sentenced to life in prison. Prosecutors said he used his badge to target vulnerable women and children. The main case was a 2018 stop: he detained a 15-year-old for an alleged curfew violation, then sexually assaulted her in the cruiser. They also said he later showed up at the hospital during her exam. A 2022 trial ended in a partial mistrial after one juror would not deliberate. The retrial started in late August. A Fulton County jury convicted him on all counts September 8. Evidence included victim testimony and DNA matching the girl on the steering wheel and turn signal of his patrol car.

Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, three men have been sentenced for rape in Slough following a three week trial. Teague Rose, aged 36 of Chantry Close, Windsor, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday (21/9) to twelve years and ten months in prison. Rose pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and one count of attempted rape. Raymond Sithole, aged 27 of Long Furlong Drive, Slough, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday (21/9) to eleven years in prison. Sithole pleaded not guilty to one count of rape. Delwyn Rose, aged 28 of Mead Avenue, Slough, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday (21/9) to eleven years in prison. Delwyn Rose pleaded not guilty to three counts of rape. All three offenders were found guilty by unanimous jury on all counts. In July 2023, officers received a report that a teenage girl had been raped at a property in Slough by three men. All of them were identified and arrested on 5 July 2023 and further charged on 19 May 2025.
