A rescue operation is underway: crews are putting out the fire and searching for people who may have been trapped inside. All services are deployed. We are consistently using our long-range capabilities to respond to Russian strikes against life. Last night, our sanctions were used against two defense plants in the Tula and Voronezh regions. Over the past 24 hours, SSU units also carried out effective operations against the aggressor’s oil facilities in the Krasnodar region. Sanctions were also launched against facilities that the Russians use for drone terror against Ukraine in the Kaluga and Oryol regions. Russia has been carrying out attacks against Ukrainian civilians again. Ukraine needs more Patriot interceptors before winter. We are calling on Member States that have them in their stocks to provide them to Ukraine. Member States have also recently agreed how to distribute €6.6 billion in European Peace Facility funds. That means at least €1 billion new funds for joint procurement. This will strengthen cooperation among Member States on defence and support for Ukraine.
