Something went just went horribly wrong with gaming. It’s frankly undeniable.
All the laughs and people talking and cutting up man.
This hasn’t been able to be replicated in a long time and I think we all know why….
I’m starting to think U.S. culture, movies, tv shows, games and music as a whole has been in a complete free fall imo with some exceptions but these are few and far between…
I’m like both sad and angry about it frankly.

I really want this game to be good. I’ll probably be a day-1 player. I bet multiplayer is going to be unbelievably sweaty.

So, in my experience it’s a couple things. The free weekend was a great opportunity to get my friends to try the game. It wasn’t on their radar and they are not Bungie Stans like me. However, once they were playing they loved the feel and look of the game but they got bored at the core gameplay loop. Eventually one of my friends was just standing still and shortly got off.

Im so impressed with this video. They really addressed the elephant in the room and then how they make games. Also they show a bit of the humanity of these developers and their thoughts. I think that’s massively important right now.

I didn’t really branch out that much when I was younger. I was just replaying the OG Halo trilogy over and over again. 😅
Toontown was special to me because when I was stuck at my Mom’s office bc she was working late or whatnot, I’d play this on their office computer. Fun times.

Idk what to think of this. Maybe it will be better but Activision does not have a great track record at all right now either. If it means we won’t have to wait 10 years for the next game I guess I’m happy. Very conflicted.

Hate to say it but I didn’t really like either ending to SAROS. Both are basically just Arjun sulking in his mistakes.
So is there really any journey or character development at all? Not really. It’s really just Arjun figuring out more how Carcosia works and then getting eternally punished because of what he did before the events of this game.
Your play-through essentially is only to uncover secrets.
Still the gameplay, sound effects, and core loop are very fun.
Story doesn’t do it for me.
Overall: 7.5/10.

Really going to be hard to justify this as PlayStation imo. I think being haphazard with talent like Kojima is not a recipe for success.

The galaxy is in the middle of a full fledged rebellion like of course they’re going to ramp up military industry. That doesn’t make it fascist.
What made the republic turn into the empire was tact and deceit by Palpatine. If there were more checks and balances in the republic the empire wouldn’t have happened. Such as having the Executive and Judiciary all separate branches….
