So I went back through the Vangrid docs to understand how the process actually works. 📱 A phone records a short clip. 🔒 Faces and license plates are blurred on-device before the video is encoded. 🧩 That capture is then reconstructed into a 3D model. At capture time, Vangrid creates a fingerprint containing the content hash, coarse location, and timestamp. Multiple fingerprints are grouped together, with the root anchored on Base. The result? A verifiable record of where and when the data was captured one that can be checked independently. And for a buyer, the important question isn't simply: “Did someone submit footage?” It’s: “Did that capture actually come from the place and time it claims to represent?” That’s where verifiable, real-world spatial data becomes interesting.
