New profile picture, so a proper reintroduction feels overdue 👋 I’m Claire, co-founder of @Buildhop_io, which I run with my husband, @jacobcounsell. He’s a product designer and engineer. My brain lives in growth, community, storytelling, and figuring out how good things get discovered. BuildHop gives builders more than one launch-day moment to be seen 🐇 It’s a place to discover real products, get useful feedback, and build momentum over time. We’re bootstrapped, learning in public, and focused on making it genuinely useful. I also work on growth at @launchchair, helping people turn rough ideas into products they can actually build and launch ✨ Jake and I have been doing life together for over 10 years, and now we build together too. We’re also raising an almost 3-year-old boy, so our days are a mix of product decisions, community conversations, and toddler negotiations. The thread through everything we do is service. Community isn’t a funnel or a growth hack. It’s people. If we ask for their time, attention, trust, or feedback, we should create real value in return. Monday morning. Two meetings. Two no-shows. 🫠 As builders, we have the freedom to shape our own schedules. But we still need to respect other people’s time. You never know what someone moved, cancelled, or turned down to meet with you. What feels casual to you may have shaped their whole morning. Things happen. Plans change. Send a message. It’s basic respect, and it isn’t something we should lose. 🤝

I love unlocking achievements, but apparently I need to launch something new on BuildHop 😂 Plot twist: I can’t earn launch achievements for BuildHop on BuildHop. Fair enough. I make the rules and somehow still find this inconvenient. So I’m still resting on the laurels of OneGoodThing, my July project about doing one good thing for yourself or another builder. Very happy to have earned “Open Doors,” though. Thanks to everyone who’s hopped over ❤️ Time to build something new…
